  2. Sergeant Ted Miller gave me my first start as one of the youngest detectives to work under him. He was an amazing guy that taught me leadership, compassion and what leadership was! I will always be indebted to him and his family for allowing him to work at the Polk County Sheriffs Office because of him I retired as a Captain and then became a Chief of Police and it was his shoulders that allowed me to be me and to show me what family support was Mrs Miller always had the best sweet potato pies that I had to bribe her husband for! Until we meet again and maybe he can be my supervisor again in heaven which I certainly would be happy for!

  4. Ted was a good guy. We worked together for many years at the Polk County Sheriff’s Office. We laughed and talked about Pauline and my cousin Courtney a lot.
